The head of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Exporters’ Union warned:
Let’s lose May is over! / Mr. Zarif, please contact the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
The head of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Exporters’ Union announced the reduction of the province’s export volume and expressed concern over the continuation of this situation following the Corona outbreak, saying: “Khorasan has suffered the most damage in the field of exports.”
Saeedeh Sajedinia – Mohammad Hossein Roshanak, in an interview with Shahr-e Arannews, expressed surprise that the decrease in exports should have reduced the prices of items in the domestic market, while these days we are witnessing an increase in some basic goods, according to information from inventory in We have the country, and especially the province, fortunately we do not have a shortage of any goods, and even according to official reports, the items needed by the people in the warehouses have been stored until the end of the year.
We should not increase prices in any product
He blamed any increase in commodity prices on the current bubble and said: “Normally, a shortage and export of goods leads to an increase in prices, and now we have neither a shortage nor an export.” Meanwhile, imported goods are also offered in government currency of 4,200 Tomans, and perhaps the only justified reason that may be the reason for these high prices is the restriction of supply centers and the closure of trade unions during quarantine days.
Warehouse inventory capacity is available by the end of the year
Emphasizing that we have no restrictions on imports, Roshanak said: “According to the report of the Deputy Governor of Khorasan Razavi, the inventory capacity of the province’s warehouses will meet the needs of the people by the end of the year.” Otherwise, nothing else has happened in the market that will lead to higher prices.
The head of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Exporters and Importers’ Union also stated in a report on the latest export situation: The province’s exports are not in line with the country’s exports from the beginning and the Khorasan-Razavi export basket is completely different from the country’s export basket. In some sectors, we had good exports, including agriculture (saffron, pistachios, fruits and nuts such as raisins, etc.), which are the main export goods of Khorasan Razavi. Handicrafts and rural industries such as turquoise and carpet rings, etc. Small industries with plastic and petroleum sources, chocolate and sweets, cement, rebar and steel, wire and cable, powdered milk, chicken eggs and chicken have been among the province’s export portfolio.
Khorasan-e-Razavi exports saw the most damage
Announcing that Khorasan-e-Razavi has suffered the most in the export sector, he said: “The province’s main export is food, and unfortunately the first goods that the target countries banned from importing corona were food and dairy products. We have suffered the most damage at the moment.
Turkmenistan’s misplaced hardships
Roshanak continued: “Most of Khorasan-e-Razavi exports were from Turkmenistan and northern Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan was the first country to close its routes to trucks and freight cars at the beginning of the Korona epidemic, banning any imports.” He did not even accept the cement and rebar sent by wagon without any contact and after 10 days of loading, while the Corona virus lasted for 48 hours at these levels, but the authorities still insisted on their strictures. .
The head of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Chamber of Commerce’s trade commission said that since the merger of the Ministries of Commerce and Industry, Mining and Trade, international trade has no trustee in Iran. Go and negotiate with the Turkmen authorities and explain to them that goods that are not food and were loaded 10 days ago and are in a car without a driver are not a problem for Corona. Now, under this pretext, how do you prevent the entry of goods and their transit to other countries ?!
Hot market for detergents in the domestic market
Pointing out that detergents and disinfectants have also been one of the export items of Khorasan-e-Razavi, which has had the best market in the country since the Corona outbreak, he said: “We had no problem in this regard, but for goods that had a brand and were exported to target countries.” Maintaining a brand is important and vital. As a result, if this trend does not continue, the damage will be compensated and nothing special will threaten the export of these products.
Roshanak continued: “Food exports have stopped while hotels, accommodation centers and restaurants are closed these days, and in this regard, there has been an acute problem for export items in this sector.”
Mr. Zarif should contact the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan!
“As the head of the Khorasan-e-Razavi Chamber of Commerce’s trade commission, we strongly urge the four foreign ministers, the Minister of Roads, Urban Development, Industry and Health, to contact their counterparts in Turkmenistan directly and to justify the country’s problems with the Corona virus,” he said. Resolve rail transport, because if we want to send cargo to any country in the northern neighbors, it must be through Turkmenistan and rail, and transit from this country is important for the export of Khorasan.
If we lose the export in May …
Roshanak added: “If we lose the export in May, it will be irreparable.” But if the existing obstacles are removed, we promise to increase the export volume of Khorasan-e-Razavi by 1.5 times in the year of production jump. Otherwise, we will lose our profits in global markets, and as a result, we will lose a significant amount of the province’s exports.
